James P. Sullivan, better known as Sulley, is easily recognized with his hulking stature and bright blue fur with purple spots. The costume is especially cute on toddlers and babies. Sulley costumes are perfect for the adventurous, but they can become quite hot. Designs for women often include skirts, and many full-body suits have lighter fur and fit like comfortable pajamas.
However, Sulley isn't the only character that people have fallen in love with since the first Monster's Inc movie. Green and round, Mike is fun. He might only have one eye, but he'll see you from a mile away. Mike costumes may include tutus, full-body suits or hoodies, but they all depict Mike's smiling face. Monster's Inc and the followup movie,Monsters University, have introduced us to plenty of characters. While most of them are certainly monsters, who can forget Boo, the tiny human girl who befriends Sulley and Mike? The little brunette child is adorable, and kids can easily play her. With her sluglike appearance, cateye glasses and strict demeanor, she even managed to put Mike and Sulley in their places. The second movie features a similar character, Dean Hardscrabble, whose dragon-like exterior matches her fearsome personality. She's one of the best scarers around, and she knows how to keep the students as Monsters U in check. Both Mike and Sully don Monsters University gear -- a hat and jacket, respectively -- in the new movie, which offers accessory options for the costumes. We also get to see a young Randall Bogs, the lizard create who can turn invisible, coming into his own in the second movie. His purple skin and head spikes make for a fun costume while Johnny Worthington in his Ror Omega Ror letter jacket is a fun nod to the greasers of yesteryear.
Mike and Sulley's new friends of Oozma Kappa include a middle-aged car salesman with glasses and a bushy mustache (Don Carlton), six-legged conjoined twins (Terri and Terry), a furry striped monster whose arched legs make up most of his body (Art) and a five-eyed monster named Squishy.
Every monster and human in the movie stands on his own legs -- or arms -- and would make fantastic monsters costumes that provide plenty to talk about.
